The Arizona Model Pilots Society (AMPS) #1546 is an AMA Gold Leader Club in Glendale, AZ. The club operates within the Maricopa County Parks at Adobe Dam Regional Park. The club began with a handful of members in 1980 and now has over 250 enthusiastic members.

The club is a non-profit organization formed for the following purposes:
- secure, develop and operate a flying site for model aircraft;
- create interest in model building;
- aid beginners through the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and experience;
- promote model flying to the individual and the community; and
- provide a progressive training program for all phases of radio control flying.
The AMPS asphalt runway is 600’ long and 75’ wide. Both ends of the runway have an additional overrun areas for airplanes that fail to stop on the asphalt. There is also 105’ diameter circle for control line model airplane flying. The asphalt paved pit area is on the south side of the runway and is 250’ long and 35’ wide. Five flight stations are located along the barrier fence with openings between the pit and the runway. Other amenities include a Ramada shade structure, a 24’x10’ concession area, large parking lot, electricity, portable toilets, and lights for the Ramada and parking lot.
The club works with various community outreach programs. AMPS safety instructors educate and train the Sandra Day O’Conner Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) High School students with model aviation fixed wing flying lessons. They also work with the local Civil Air Patrol supporting sUAS training, the Arizona Department of Public Safety (ADPS), and Scouting America.
Coming up on January 17th is the AMPS annual . Also, March 7-8 is their described as "Arizona's premier remote control electric show. Airplanes, helicopters, drones, raffle prizes, food & drink, night flying, and other demos. Fun for everybody!". Visit the club's website for more information.
