World record application process
Once the record flight has been completed, the applicant must first notify NAA and FAI. This must be done within 7 days of the potential record flight. This notification must be sent to the AMA (email to: records@modelaircraft.org), the National Aeronautic Association (NAA ) and the F茅d茅ration A茅ronautique Internationale (FAI ) by the applicant.
Once this is completed, the applicant must forward the completed FAI National Record Dossier to AMA Headquarters, Attention Technical Director. The document can be sent via email, but a hard-copy of the original document must be physically sent via a postal service (USPS/UPS/FEDEX).
The AMA Technical Director will review the application and verify that all applicable documentation and fees have been included. If items are missing, the applicant will be contacted.
Once reviewed and approved, the Dossier will be mailed to the FAI for processing.
