FAI F2 World Championships for Control Line Model Aircraft
THIS PAST SUMMER, AMA and the US aeromodeling community rolled out the red carpet to welcome attendees of the 2024 F茅d茅ration A茅ronautique Internationale (FAI) F2 World Championships for Control Line Model Aircraft. Thirty countries and nearly 500 model aviation enthusiasts from around the globe converged at AMA鈥檚 International Aeromdeling Center (IAC) in Muncie, Indiana, to share their passion for Control Line (CL) flight.

Since airplanes have existed, competitions have been held in air racing of all classes. Pylon Racing, in a closed circuit around pylons, is based on racing with full-scale, manned aircraft, the most famous being the Reno Air Races.
