The AMA is the world's laegest aeromodelling non-profit membership association with 170,000 members, and 2,400 charted clubs in the US dedicated to promotion of model aviation as a recognized sport and recreational activity that's fun and challenging. AMA is governed by a 13 member Executive Board of the 11 AMA District Vice Presidents (VPs), an Executive Vice President (EVP), and a President. District VP's appoint District Associate VPs (AVPs) to assist them in providing benefits and services to clubs and members. AMA District I Clubs are the best resource for flying at safe permitted locations and there are 140 club flying sites to choose from. Clubs may elect officers, provide flight training, conduct fun-fly and competition events, have cookouts, auctions, and airshows, as wellas participte in community advocacy and outreach. | |
